How Smart is your SmartPhone?
Here you will find a list of the (free) Apps which I recommend to assist you in your studies.
1.) SparkNotes (iPhone and Android).
This app will provide you with access to study guides on many topics. You will find 50 study guides already loaded into your library upon installation (including 'The Crucible' and 'The Merchant of Venice' and you can top this up from hundreds of study guides online.
2.) Flashcards+ (iPhone and Android)
This 'flashcard' app enables you to keep your revision with your wherever you go! What more could you want! There are hundreds of sets of revision cards already on the app which you can view however some of these may have a different focus to us so do not rely on these. You are able to make your own 'decks' of flash revision cards which you can then use to revise in your own time. They would be particularly useful for learning quotes...
3.) Dictionary.com (iPhone and Android)
This app will allow you to check your essays and notes for spelling errors. A convenient way to have quick access to a detailed dictionary.
4.) ScanMyDoc (iPhone and Android)
This app will allow you to scan the QR codes which you will find on worksheets, homework sheets and classroom posters. When you use your phone or tablet to scan these codes you will be linked to an online version of the document which you can then save. This will enable you to view the document in your own time and to always have access to a copy of it.
I will keep this page updated as I find more useful apps. If you have found any that you find particularly useful please let me know.
